If you are having trouble upgrading your Rest's firmware, try the following:
- Ensure the Hatch Sleep app is not running in the background (open recent apps and swipe to the right or left to "kill" it).
- Restart your phone. A restart fixes simple errors and helps your phone start fresh.
- Turn Bluetooth off and on.
- Open your Hatch Sleep app within 30 seconds to connect.
- Follow the prompts to upgrade the firmware.
Once your Firmware upgrade has started, do not close the app. Stay close to Rest until the firmware update is complete. Be patient, as it can take several minutes to complete.
If the above doesn't work, try the following:
- Ensure the Hatch Sleep app is not running in the background (open recent apps and swipe to the right or left to "kill" it).

- Turn Bluetooth off and on.
- Insert / release a paperclip into the small reset hole in the base of the lamp (near “contains FCC ID”).
- Open your Hatch Sleep app within 30 seconds to connect.
- Follow the prompts to upgrade the firmware.
