Are you finding that your routine is playing the same content night after night? We will help you understand why this might be happening.
How Content Rotation Works
Our content channels are designed to provide a variety of content for your little one to enjoy and fall asleep to! When you set a channel to your routine, the content will rotate through the list of tracks in order, so that you have a new episode to listen to each night!
Some Notes About Content Rotating:
- Rotation Order: The content rotates in the order it is listed within the channel.
- Rotation Trigger: The content will only rotate to the next piece when your device has been "off" or has had some "downtime." This allows the device to reset and load the next piece of content for the following day.
- 5-Minute Play Rule: For a piece of content to be considered "played" and for the rotation to move to the next item, it must play for at least 5 minutes. If you stop the content before 5 minutes, the rotation will not advance, and the same content will play the next night.
- Routine Edits: If you edit your routine, the rotation will be reset. The system loses its memory of where you were in the channel's rotation, and it will start over from the beginning of the list. This is a common reason for the same episode to play repeatedly.
- Removing and Adding Channels: If you remove a channel from your routine and later add it back, the rotation will pick up right where it left off. It will not reset to the beginning unless you edit the routine itself.
