We are currently performing a voluntary, but important recall that affects one of our products. We are voluntarily recalling the AC power adapters sold with some Hatch Rest products. The power adapters involved in the recall can be identified by model number CYAP05 050100U and have NO batch number at the bottom. These power adapter’s were originally packaged with some Rest Classic devices. We also want to note that this recall does not impact any replacement AC power adapters sold separately. These power adapters are being recalled due to potential for electric shock from the top and the bottom of the adaptor separating. This recall is limited to the power adapter and does not impact the Hatch Rest itself.
If you have the power cord being recalled, we ask that you stop using the power cord immediately. We will get you a replacement for this power cord. Please follow these steps to determine if your power adapter is impacted:
- Check if you have a round barrel cord (see photo reference below)
- Review the model number: CYAP05 050100U.
- Check for a batch number on the bottom of the power adapter- if there is a batch number; your power adapter is not part of the recall.

If your power adapter meets the criteria in step 1 and step 2, please reach out to us at recall@hatch.co. Send us a photo of your power adapter as well as the email address you use for your Hatch account and we will get a new power adapter sent to you as quickly as possible! If you never registered your Hatch Rest and don't have an account with us, please provide your mailing address instead.
