There is an interactive metal ring on the top of all Rest+ 2nd gen devices. This "touch ring" is especially helpful if you want to quickly change the sound or color of your Rest, or if you want to turn it on or off without having to open up your app. Here's how:
- Tap the touch ring with your finger to turn on your Rest. The Rest will turn on to your first touch ring favorite. Touch ring favorites are pre-programmed light and sound combinations. You can customize your touch ring routine in the Hatch Sleep app. For more information on routines, click here.
- Continue to tap the touch ring with your finger to cycle through your touch ring favorites.
- To turn Rest off, simply tap and hold your finger on the touch ring until it turns off. You'll need to hold your finger on the touch ring for approximately three seconds before the device turns off.
To disable the touch ring, you can turn on Child Lock. To turn off Child Lock, go into the Hatch Sleep app, and turn off Child Lock in the Quick Settings for your device.
