You know how you have to tap on your bathroom scale before stepping on it to actually weigh yourself? In the world of weighing, that’s called taring (we like to call it “zeroing out”), and it basically describes when a scale resets itself to give an accurate measurement.
Here’s something neat about your Grow: every time you connect to Grow, it autotares in anticipation of you weighing your baby. But sometimes, Grow asks you to zero it out before use, due to a change in conditions on or near the scale (for example, Grow touched the sides of your changing table, or sensed a pack of wipes stashed underneath). Grow’s scale is super sensitive and wants to give you a precise measurement each time you use it. Just tap “zero” and you’re good to Grow!
