It's not natural for our minds or bodies to come to a sudden "stop" after a full day. You need to give your mind and body some time to unwind! This is your time before bedtime! There is no right or wrong way to create an Unwind routine, it should be what you need it to be in order to slow things down and put the day away. Your Hatch is there to unwind with you! Here are a few tips to get the most out of this feature:
- Use the Cue to Unwind to begin. Life gets busy and sometimes we need to set up a little reminder to tell us when to slow down and get ready for rest. Our Cue to Unwind feature allows you to set up a visual and audible reminder that it's time to turn your attention to your bedtime routine. You can set up your cue for as many or as few days of the week as you need. To set up your Cut to Unwind, just tap on the "Schedule your cue" at the top of your Restore 2's homepage. From there, select the color, sound, and schedule for your cue!
- Customize your Unwind steps. After your cue is set up, you will want to customize how you would like to unwind. You can customize your light and sound options. Think through what YOU need - this moment is for you! Feel free to just use a light option with no sound, or a sound option with no light. Do you love the idea of drifting off to sleep with beautiful music? We have some great options for that, including our Sonic Atlas channel which brings local musicians from around the world to share their music and history from their home countries. Maybe you would like to catch up on the latest tea, but you don't want to spend hours doom scrolling on your phone- our i'll scroll 4 u Pillow Talk channel should be your go-to! We have tons of Snooze inducing stories, soundscapes, music options, and more. You can pick one as your go-to or change it up each night for something different! Don't forget that you can select a solid light or a slowly "fading" light.
