What is registration?
To set up your Restore 2, it will need to be registered to a Hatch Sleep App account. Once registered, the device will be tied to that account unless the device is deregistered.
How to de-register a Restore 2:
How your Restore 2 gets de-registered will depend on if you are the first to register the device or you received the device 2nd hand. We can help guide you through the steps either way so you can be up and "sleeing" with your Restore 2 soon!
De-registering a device that was registered by someone other than you:
If you are trying to set up a device has been registered to a different account previously, it will need to be de-reregistered in order to register it with the new account. You can do this right in the app!
If you see a screen in the app that states "Let's make this device yours!", this indicates your device was previously registered to another account. To de-register the device, just click on the "Continue" button to reset the device back to factory settings.
Are you trying to connect to a device that was registered by another member of your household? Restore 2 isn't able to be registered by more than one user. If you want to have access to the Hatch too, you will need to be logged into the same account that the device was set up under, on your phone.
De-registering a device that is on your account currently:
If you need to remove a Hatch device from your account and reset it to factory settings, you can begin this process by clicking on the chat bubble at the bottom of most Hatch.co pages and type the word "deregister" to get started!
