In this guide you can learn how to set an alarm, delete an alarm, disbale alarms, learn about all the alarm sound options, and check to see if you have an alarm set using the iOS widget!
How do I set an alarm?
The Restore 3 Sunrise Alarm feature allows you to create a custom light and sound combination to gently wake you up. The light mimics the colors of a natural sunrise and gradually brightens over a duration of your choice. Once the sunrise is in full effect, your alarm sounds, for a more natural wake-up.
To get started, just tap on the "Add Alarm" option from your Restore 3's home page in the Hatch Sleep app.
On the next screen, you can add a name for your alarm, select your desired Sunrise start time, pick the days of the week you want the alarm to go off, and select your sound and light combination for the Sunrise Alarm! The sound will not play until your alarm is set to go off.
If you would prefer not to have a light or a sound for your alarm, simply toggle them off.
To view all of the Sunrise lights/sounds we offer, scroll to the right and tap "See More."
Quick tip- If you tap on the "See More" option and you aren't a Hatch+ subscriber, you will want to scroll to the bottom of the page to see the "free" options- there are plenty to choose from!
Once you have selected your light/sound, it will then take you to a page where you'll find the options to set the time of the alarm, the days of the week you'd like it to repeat, the desired brightness, the duration of the Sunrise, and lastly the volume of the Sunrise. Once you've adjusted the settings to your liking, don't forget to tap "Save" in the top right-hand corner!
Pro Tip: If you'd like to set a single user or one-time alarm, just deselect all of the days of the week. The alarm will go off once and then delete itself from the app.

How do I delete an alarm?
Need to delete that 3am alarm you had to set to catch your flight? It's easy to delete any unwanted alarms via the Hatch Sleep app, here's how:
Step 1: Open the Hatch Sleep app and select your Restore 3 and scroll down to where you see your alarm(s) under "Sunrise Alarm".
Step 2: Tap on the 3 dots next to the toggle button for the alarm you would like to delete
Step 3: and tap "Delete" from the pop-up options.
Step 4: Tap "Confirm" when asked if you're sure you want to delete the alarm, and you're all set!
Pro Tip! You can also swipe left on the alarm you want to delete and click the red 'trash' symbol on the right-hand side.
How do I disable alarms?
Did you take a vacation day and now you can sleep in? You can disable alarms a few different ways- in the Hatch or by using the Alarm Toggle button on your Restore 3.
Disabling the alarm in the Hatch Sleep app:
To disable your alarm in the Hatch Sleep app, simply connect to your Restore 3, and toggle the button next to the alarm you would like turned off to the left (off position).
The Alarm Toggle Button:
The alarm toggle on the side of the Restore 3, allows you to enable/disable all of your scheduled alarms easily without your phone.
- If you slide the toggle to the right, your alarms will be allowed and will go off as set up in the Hatch Sleep app.
- If you slide the toggle to the left (as shown in the above image), you can disable all alarms you have currently set.
Pro tips for Alarm Toggle!
- A great easy way to tell if your alarms are disabled is by looking at the color of the toggle slider. If red is showing, it means all alarms are disabled.
- If you toggle your alarm on, from disabled position, your alarm time will briefly display on the front of your device.
- If you have multiple alarms, but only want to disable one- make sure you use the app to disable the single alarm. The Alarm Toggle button will disable all alarms you have set to go off.
What options for alarm sounds do I have?

Alarm Widget for iOS:
Looking for a quick way to see if you have an alarm set for tomorrow? We have you covered! With our iOS widget, you can easily view the next alarm that is set for the next day.
This feature is available to users with a Restore device that is connected to the app and has an active alarm. You'll need an iOS 18+ device and be on app version 5.19.4+ to use the widget.
To install the widget on your iOS device, you can follow these easy steps:
- Tap and hold on your iPhone home screen.
- Tap the “+” icon in the upper left corner.
- Search for “Hatch”.
- Choose between two widget designs.
- Tap “Add Widget”.
- Tap the widget to edit.
- Under "Device," select the appropriate device.
Pro tips!
- If you have more than one device, you can add multiple widgets!
- The widget does not display your Hatch's name, so while multiple widgets will show alarm data, you won't be able to see the name of the device the alarm is set on.

The alarm widget will only display alarms set for tomorrow, if you have alarms set for later in the week, you will not see them until the day before it is set to go off.
Alarm starting to sound? What now?
You will use the "Big Button" button on the top of your Restore 3 to turn off or snooze your alarm when it's going off.
- If your alarm is sounding and you are ready to get up, tap and hold the button to shut your alarm off.
- Is it one of those mornings that you need a few more minutes? Give this button a quick tap to snooze your alarm. When the snooze feature has been engaged, you will see some Z's on the front of your Restore 3's clock display. This snoozes your alarm for 9 minutes.
