Location Services on Android 5.0+
Android users on 5.0+ must have location services enabled in order to connect to Hatch Rest. This is a requirement from Google for any app connecting to a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) device. Rest assured that our app does not collect or use your location at all. We recommend setting your permission level to “Allow only while using this app.”
More information about BLE location permissions can be found on Android's developer site here.
To enable location services, go to Settings >> Apps >> Hatch Sleep and enable location.

Location Services on Android 12+
Android users on 12+ no longer need to have location permissions enabled! With this newest operating system, separate permissions have been created to address the need for an app to scan for nearby devices. They are aptly named BLUETOOTH_SCAN, BLUETOOTH_ADVERTISE, and BLUETOOTH_CONNECT permissions. Please be sure these are enabled! We have included a link to an article here with more information
