Is your Restore 2 clock display not appear when you want it to? We can help!
First, let's check your settings. Your Restore 2 has several different options for your clock settings. You can view more details about those settings in our "Your Restore 2 Clock Display Settings" article. Check your settings to make sure the brightness setting for daytime and nighttime matches what you would like to see on the clock.
After you have verified the clock settings, you can take a look at the environment your Restore 2 is in. If there is light in your room, the Restore 2 will consider that "daytime" and will observe the daytime brightness setting. If it's dark, or your Restore 2 has a "shadow" over the front of it, your Restore 2 will consider that "nighttime" and it will observe the nighttime settings.
If your clock won't turn off at all, and you have verified your settings, you can try these steps:
- Connect to your Restore 2 in the Hatch Sleep app
- Tap on the "gear" icon in the upper right corner of the app
- Select your Restore 2 from the list
- Tap on the "Clock Display" option, select the "Always Off" option
- Tap the "Back" option
- Confirm that your clock turns off at this point
- Select the "Clock Display" option one more time
- Tap on the "Clock Display" option and select the "Off At Night" option
- Make sure the "Nighttime Brightness" is turned all the way down
- Unplug your Restore, count to ten and plug it back in
After following these steps, please ensure the room your Restore 2 is in is dark, observe the clock display when it is dark, please confirm that it is off. Next, turn the lights on and make sure there are no items around your Restore 2 that may cause a shadow to "cover" the light sensor- give the device a moment to adjust, it should turn off at that time.

Is your clock turning on randomly at night? It's possible that you might be "bumping" the clock, which causes the clock to turn on if the "Tap your Restore to see the time" option is toggled on. In the event this is waking you up at night, try turning this option off to see if it helps resolve the issue. Here's how to adjust those settings:
- Open the Hatch Sleep app
- Connect to your Hatch Restore 2
- Tap on the gear icon in the upper right corner of the app
- Select the name of your Restore 2 from the list that appears
- Tap on the "Clock and Display" option
- Toggle the switch next to the "Tap your Restore to see the time" option to "off"
- Tap on the "Back" option to navigate back to the main screen
