Did you snooze your alarm, drift back off to dreamland, wake up a while later, and were late to start your day? We are here to make sure you can snooze your alarm without the worry of not waking up on time!
Let's first make sure that your snooze is working properly, and that your alarm isn't just shutting off by following these steps below:
Create a test alarm:
Please create a test alarm (without the Sunrise) to see if your snooze is working properly. When scheduling this test alarm please set it up to begin at least 2 minutes or more from the time you create the alarm.
When the test alarm goes off, a few things to look out for and keep in mind while testing the snooze feature:
- When you tap the rest/rise button on top of your Restore 2 to snooze your alarm, be sure that you are just tapping the button and not holding the button down. Holding the button down will turn your alarm off completely.
- After tapping the top of your device when the alarm goes off, take a look at the clock display in the front of your Restore 2. If the snooze begins, you'll see zzz's across the clock display and then a countdown timer will appear showing the time left in your snooze. If you are not seeing the "zzz's" appear across your screen, it means you have shut your alarm off instead of initiating snooze. You will want to tap a little lighter next time.
- If you are seeing zzz's across your clock display with the countdown timer, please see if the alarm then goes off after the 9 minutes are up.
In the event your alarm is still not going off after completing the steps above, please uninstall your app, restart your phone, reinstall your app, and try the following troubleshooting steps below:
Reset your Restore 2:
- Unplug Restore 2.
- Press and hold the button with the two arrows (the Bluetooth connection button) on the bottom of your Restore 2.
- Plug Restore 2 back in while still holding the connect button.
- Release the connect button after 10 seconds.
- Wait for about 2 minutes and then try to connect again via the Hatch Sleep App.
Delete Alarm:
After getting reconnected to your Restore 2, please delete the current alarm you have set up that isn't snoozing. For help with how to delete the alarm, you can view this article here.
Create a test alarm:
Please create another test alarm like you did above (without the Sunrise) and set it up to begin at least 2 minutes or more from the time you create the alarm.
When alarm goes off, please tap the top of your device to snooze your alarm.
Snooze now working?! Hooray! One tip we would recommend moving forward would be creating a backup alarm (without the Sunrise option) for the latest time that you would be okay with waking up by. This will ensure that if your alarm accidentally turns off again, instead of going to snooze, you have a backup alarm to still wake you up.
