I have a Rest 2nd Gen. Can I use it with a Rest+ 2nd Gen charging base?

The charging base cannot be used with a Rest 2nd Gen. Unlike the Rest+ 2nd Gen, the Rest 2nd Gen does not have an internal battery that can be charged.
