Your Hatch is your bestie at bedtime, making sure your little one can settle in just right for bed time! So why not give your Hatch it's own special name? Whether you want a fun, clever name that makes you smile when you see it in the app, or you need a name that helps you to know which Hatch you are trying to control; we've got you covered for how to get this done!
To rename your Hatch, just complete the following steps:
- Launch the Hatch Sleep app
- Connect to the Hatch device you’d like to rename (this step is really important- make sure you are connecting to the Hatch on your account you want to re-name!)
- Once connected, tap the Settings icon
- Under Hatch Products, tap the name of the device you just connected to
- Tap Name and edit the name of your device
- You’ll need to repeat these steps if you’d like to rename multiple devices
Having trouble re-naming your Hatch? Here's a few things that might be the cause:
- Name length- the name of your Hatch can only be about 16 characters long.
- Ownership- while "control" of your Hatch device can be shared with a loved one, you will need to be the original owner in order to re-name the device.
