Your Hatch Sleep Clock will occasionally upgrade as Hatch releases improvements, features, and new versions of firmware. These updates will make your experience using Hatch Sleep Clock even better.
If your Hatch Sleep app is prompting you to update your device, that means that your Restore 3 was not able to complete the upgrade itself. We're here to walk you through how to upgrade your firmware.
First, try the following:
- Ensure the Hatch Sleep app is not running in the background (open recent apps and swipe to force close it).
- Restart your phone. A restart fixes simple errors and helps your phone start fresh.
- Move your Hatch so it's sitting right next to your Wi-Fi router.
- Toggle your Wi-Fi off and on.
- Open your Hatch Sleep app.
- Follow the prompts to upgrade the firmware.
Once your Firmware upgrade has started, do not close the app. Stay close to your Restore 3 gen until the firmware update is complete. Be patient, as it can take several minutes to complete.
If the above doesn't work, please try this reset to give your Restore 3 a jump start:
- Unplug Hatch Sleep Clock
- Press and hold the connect button with the two arrows on the bottom of your device
- Plug your Sleep Clock back in while still holding the connect button
- Release the connect button after 10 seconds
- Wait for about 2 minutes
- Open the App and connect to your Hatch Sleep Clock
- If prompted to update the firmware, tap to update
- Wait another 2-5 minutes (the digital clock on Sleep Clock should show the check mark and current time once done)
- Connect to your Sleep Clock again
