Is your sound cutting out? Are you hearing fluctuations in the sound? Is there static in the sound that shouldn't be there? No sound playing at all? Let's help you get this resolved!
First, start with a reset and make sure your Rest+ is connected:
- Force close the Hatch Sleep app
- Unplug your Rest+ and turn the device off by pressing and holding the volume down and brightness down buttons on the base of the device for 10 seconds- you will see the words "OFF" displayed on the device
- Unplug your WiFi router and leave it unplugged for about 5 minutes
- Plug the router back in, and allow it some time to get reconnected (a good time frame is about 5 minutes)
- Place your Rest+ as close to your router as possible (just for troubleshooting purposes) and plug it in- make sure to give the device a few moments to power on
- Go back into the app and try to register or update your Wi-Fi again
- Once you have attempted to connect, force close the Hatch Sleep app one more time and reopen it- this will ensure your most recent diagnostics get sent over to us for further review if needed
If these steps don't work you can try a few other steps:

- If you happen to have another Hatch from the Rest family, please try swapping cords to see if the Hatch will play the sound correctly. If a different power cord works, you can order a new cord on our website: https://www.hatch.co/accessories/powercords/rest-rest-plus
- Move your Hatch away from any other electronics you have near it and test the sound while away from other electronics
- Try another outlet in another room of your home.
