If you want to share a Hatch device that is already in use, you’ll need to request access from the primary owner (the person who originally registered the device) instead of registering the device directly.
Note: Restore and Restore 2 devices do not currently support shared access.
Here’s how to do it!
Ask the primary owner to:
- Go to Settings in the Hatch Sleep app
- Select the device they want to share
- On the device settings page, under “Access” tap on “Add a Person”
- Enter your email address (make sure it matches the email you used for your Hatch Sleep account!) and then click “Invite”
Once you have been invited to a device, you will receive an email letting you know you’ve been granted access.
You will then be able to see the shared Hatch device within your Hatch Sleep app and both you and the primary owner will be able to control the device.
