We know that connection issues can be frustrating, so we are here to help! Below are some steps you can follow to hopefully get connected quickly.
We recommend performing a power cycle. Click here to follow the steps for your Restore 3 and your Wi-Fi router.
Check your phone settings:
- Make sure "low battery mode" is disabled
- Make sure your phone is not in "Airplane mode."
Check your WIFI setup:
- Confirm that you have a 2.4GHz network enabled. If so, is it separate or combined with a 5.0GHz network? If you aren't sure about this, your Internet Service Provider will be able to let you know. If you have a combined network, you can also view our Combined Network Troubleshooting article for more help.
- Please verify your WiFi password to ensure that you are recalling and entering the correct password for your network. You can do this by going into your phone's settings and forgetting your WiFi network, then trying to join the network again.
- Make sure your router, phone, and Hatch Sleep app are all up to date on the latest firmware and app version.
If you find that your network isn't compatible or are still having trouble getting connected, we have a few suggestions that some users have found helpful!
- Try a hotspot on your phone to connect! While we recommend a regular connection to your Restore 3 in order for it to perform at its best, some of our users have noted they can get connected on their phone's hotspot so they can use their Restore 3.
- Some users have let us know that a travel router helped to get them connected and stay connected! If you are looking for a travel router, you will want to locate one that works with the Wi-Fi you are trying to use (home, college campus, hotel, etc.) and broadcasts a 2.4Ghz network.
