Have you noticed that your Hatch is disconnected frequently? A disconnection can happen for various reasons. Below you can find some tips for troubleshooting when your Hatch disconnects frequently:
- If your Hatch is disconnecting frequently, it's a good idea to reset your router and your Hatch! You can follow the steps in our Can't connect? Start here! article.
- If you move your Hatch to a new location does it still disconnect? If not, it may be that your Hatch is too far from your router or there might be obstacles preventing your WiFi signal from being strong enough for your Hatch. Consider relocating your Hatch if this is the case. Even moving your Hatch across the room can help!
- Do you have any extenders or mesh points in your WiFi set up? Be sure to check out the Troubleshooting mesh networks article.
- Make sure to update the firmware on your Hatch, your router, and any extenders you have in your WiFi set up.
- If your router supports it, you may consider creating a separate 2.4GHz network for your Hatch. If you aren't sure how to do this, reach out to your Internet Service Provider to see how!
